Here's my 5X8 flag!
Here's my flag seventy-five feet up with 500 Watts of lighting!

Author Blogger's note:
What a wonderful gift it is that we have been given by our Creator, to remember.
I have an uncle who has an aging disease that has stolen his short term memory. He will remember me and discuss places we've been and the things we have done together, but will then forget the conversation we just had. I appreciate my memory, as poor as it may be. Memories can be the glue that bonds families together. Shared memories can be the thread that binds extended families together into an ever growing, eternal patchwork quilt. An individual's memory can nurture a garden of friendships that will warm a heavy heart, be the breeze during a day of doldrums, and water to a wilting soul.
Calendar markers throughout the year help us to pause and "remember" various holidays and events. As we remember the attack on our country, September 11, 2001, let's remember, reverence, and pay respect to those who lost their lives that day. Let's also remember the soldiers, past and present, that have given and continue to give their "all" to obtain and defend the freedoms we enjoy, as well as their efforts to liberate others. There are those who forget, not from any illness, unless complacency is a disease, who take for granted the treasures of our country that have been handed down from generation to generation, who will not pay their allegiance to the flag. Let's be those who pay our respects to our country and it's flag and place our hand over our heart and pause. Remember.
